Cyprus - Day One
First full day of our weeklong trip to Paphos, Cyprus. We are staying on the western side of the island which should offer some great sunsets throughout the week. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t so great today with light rain and overcast. Still, a welcome reprieve from the 100+ degree heat of Dubai. We are staying at the Elysium Hotel, one of the nicest ones in the area. Also, where the president of Cyprus stays when he is in town. As you can see from the maps below, Cyprus is located in the Eastern Mediterranean, due south of Turkey and west of Syria. It is roughly the size of eastern Massachusetts from Boston to Springfield.
