Day at the Bazaar

Back in Dubai now but sharing some final pics of our Cairo trip.  Spent our last day exploring the Khan al-Khalili bazaar.  Definitely our least favorite day. Very big, very dirty, and we got lost several times (not to mention the unpleasant haggling with the vendors who are constantly trying to rip you off).

Cairo traffic was quite the experience. There are no rules. Drivers have to be ultra aggressive to get anywhere. Several times, we were in an Uber that was part of a 3-car wide u-turn. The cars are also always inches apart (shown below from my car window)

Tried to capture some pretty architecture but there wasn’t much pretty to this day

Typical street views. Apparently, central AC still isn’t much of a thing here.  Thankfully, Dubai is now the hub of business in the Middle East. Pretty sure we would not have been happy living here.

Caught a glimpse of the Suez Canal on our flight home
