Boating on the Caldera

What a glorious day on the water!  Spent 5 hours on a catamaran crossing the Caldera, the mouth of the ancient volcano, which is now a huge bay, 500M deep (1600ft).  10 strangers and we all had great laughs together (American, British, French, Serbian, and even New Hampshire!). Got to see the island from the water, a whole different perspective!

Town of Oía

The after-party in our private hotel balcony pool. Surprisingly great wine here!

Our town of Oía from the water . . .

The building with the big arch in the middle is our hotel room

The castle ruins of Oía where everyone comes to watch the sunset. (7 castles in Santorini - all leveled by the 1956 earthquake)

St. Nicholas church on this little island.  Patron saint of fishermen
