Lake Bled
Spent the day in Lake Bled, about a 30 minute drive outside of Ljubljana. Incredible views everywhere. The photo above is the most famous spot in Slovenia, The Church of the Mother of God. It sits on the only island in the country. A row boat drops you off and you then climb the 99 steps up to the church. Although small, it is elaborately adorned and the belfry rope is positioned uniquely in front of the nave. Visitors can ring the church bell and make a wish. In the background, you can see Bled Castle sitting atop the tall ledge.
