Slovenia

Just landed this afternoon in Ljubljana, Slovenia. (Pronounced You-Be-Lanna). Rainy day so this was the best pic I could muster.  Have to say, this was one of the nicest, most polite flights in recent memory, despite at least 6 infant/toddler children in my close proximity.  I had heard the Slovenians were super nice and think the plane was full of them.  We are here for 8 days. Julie is here on business and I’m the tag-along solo tourist. We are staying at the Intercontinental in the middle of town. It’s quite nice with a great restaurant, gym, pool and spa, all within a quick walk to the historic sights. Ljubljana (population roughly 300k) is the capitol of Slovenia, the size of Massachusetts. Up until 1991, it was part of the former Yugoslavia, along with 6 other countries - Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Macedonia.  Many more pics to follow in the days ahead. Stay tuned!
