“The Greek Riviera”

Julie’s work meetings ended Thursday and we migrated down the coast to what has been nicknamed “The Greek Riviera.”  We went highend, staying at the Four Seasons in a little town called  Vouliagmeni, 17 miles (28km) south of Athens. Ideal, as it is only a 30 minute cab ride to the airport when we leave on Sunday. Above is the view from our room!  Below is the sunset view from dinner the other night

Beautiful pool overlooking the water

Our room . . .

Explored a neighboring town (Glyfada) and did some shopping. We quickly realized our hotel is the best venue in the area. Below is a cool old scooter adorning the entrance to a restaurant

Back at the hotel.  Some interesting wall art. Would love to see the bottle where this came from!

Seafood hot dog

Amazing dinner last night at Pelagos, the hotel’s Michelin star restaurant. 9 course meal paired with some tasty Greek wine.

Salmon ceviche

Some kind of fish mousse with caviar

An assortment of odd but incredibly delicious small plates that we needed to eat in sequence

Sea Bass

Monkfish

Dessert. Again a small but intense assortment of flavors
