A Day in Lucerne
Amazing day in Lucerne, a town and canton about 50min south of Zurich. Started our day by traversing Lake Lucerne by boat to the small town of Vitznau. There we took a rack railway to the top of Mt. Rigi. The rack railway has a slotted “rack” in which a gear fits, preventing the train from careening downhill and allowing it to climb steep slopes. Julie and I are shown above at the summit of Mt. Rigi (5900ft), known as “the queen of the mountains.”

The Chapel Bridge in downtown Lucerne. It was built in 1365!
