On our way to Zurich yesterday and, to our surprise, they upgraded us to first class! Emirates is already a great airline, always a little better than the rest. Their business class seats are like first class on most other airlines. So, experiencing their first class for the first time was quite special.
Unlimited Dom Perignon! They kept refilling our glasses!
The view from my seat. We each got two windows and a sliding door to our personal little cabin.
Our flight path . . . No Iran today. Straight up the Persian Gulf, then over Kuwait, Baghdad, and a little corner of Syria before heading over Turkey to Europe.
This is the Airbus 380. It is the largest passenger jet in operation, holding 853 passengers across two decks. Our seat locations on the aircraft are meticulously illustrated below . . .
View of another 380 from my window
The full size bathroom in first class, including a shower! We were asked if we wanted to schedule a shower toward the end of our flight.
This plane has a full bar in the back of our deck! We were able to hangout here with our Bosnian bartender Izzy for about an hour.
Approaching Zürich. A view of the Alps poking through the clouds. We both thought we spotted the Matterhorn although we can’t verify it.
Waw never saw such a luxury so happy for you both and many thanks for sharing
